Prerequisite for Using the Term Store Synchronisation
If you want to use Term Store synchronisation, you need to enable SharePoint's Managed Metadata service.
- Open SharePoint Central Administration and open Manage services on this farm in the System settings.
- Next, open Manage Service Application.
- Highlight the bar Managed Metadata Service and click Properties.
- Make sure that the box This service application is the default storage location for column specific term sets. is checked.
